Green Finance and Investment
About
Green finance and investment are critical enablers of ASEAN’s energy transition, supporting the shift towards low-carbon, sustainable, and resilient energy systems. Mobilising capital at scale is essential to accelerate renewable energy deployment, energy efficiency improvements, clean technologies, and climate-resilient infrastructure. ASEAN is advancing green finance through policy frameworks, sustainable finance taxonomies, innovative financing instruments, and public–private partnerships.
Attracting both domestic and international investment requires clear regulations, bankable projects, and risk-mitigation mechanisms. Strengthening green finance not only supports climate and energy goals but also drives economic growth, innovation, and regional competitiveness.
