Civilian Nuclear Energy (CNE)

About

Civilian Nuclear Energy (CNE) is increasingly recognised as a viable alternative to offset declining fossil fuel use, offering a reliable, low-emission option aligned with regional climate commitments.

Through the Nuclear Energy Cooperation Sub-Sector Network (NEC-SSN), the specialised body for CNE, this programme area promotes cooperation on the security and reliability of civilian nuclear energy by strengthening capacity building, institutional, legal and regulatory frameworks, and nuclear literacy.
