This study focuses on the current state of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) development and implementation in the ASEAN region. The study examines the use of Solar PV+ in ASEAN nations and its possible effects on the energy sector. The term “Solar PV+” itself designates a method or technology that expands the capabilities of conventional solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This may entail integrating extra elements like energy storage devices, smart grid technology, or other renewable energy sources to increase the overall efficiency and efficacy of solar power generation.
This study also identifies current trends and best practices in the deployment of solar PV+ in various ASEAN nations and discusses the possibility for AMS to put these principles into practice by showcasing the potential of each AMS to apply projects similar to those that already exist in other countries. The study comes to a close by offering suggestions for how to move forward in promoting solar energy solutions in ASEAN’s numerous sectors, including agriculture, fisheries, environmental management, rural development, etc.
