About Conference
The AICEE is our flagship annual international conference for experts to present and discuss their scholarly work. In conjunction with the ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF) and the ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM). This conference aims to facilitate discussions on interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral issues.
Academicians, researchers, the private sector, and even university students can register. We encourage everyone who puts high interest and expertise in the energy and environment nexus, especially on the topics of:
- Low Carbon and Emerging Technologies
- Energy Efficiency Technologies and Measures
- Regional Energy Cooperation and Interconnection
- Just and Inclusive Energy Transition
- Energy, Environment, and Climate Policy
- Energy Investment
Abstract Submission & Acceptance
The abstract must be related to the following topics of the conference:
- Low Carbon and Emerging Technologies
- Energy Efficiency Technologies and Measures
- Regional Energy Cooperation and Interconnection
- Just and Inclusive Energy Transition
- Energy, Environment, and Climate Policy
- Energy Investment
For submission, we also prepared a template you can follow before submitting the abstract. Participants are suggested to submit an abstract of no more than 200 words and four keywords.
No, the abstract submission is free. However, accepted abstracts will be required to register for the Conference and optional for Publication fee.
Minor revision is still acceptable if it does not change the context of the whole abstract. It is recommended that you resubmit the abstract rather than make a new additional submission.
You will be invited to the 5th AICEE in Malaysia, in-person, to present your abstract. Virtual presentation is not available. In addition, all accepted abstracts will be published in the 5th AICEE Proceedings. You may access the previous AICEE Proceeding section here.
Conference Registration
There is no fee to submit your abstract, but if your abstract is selected and you choose to present it, you shall make a payment to attend the conference. The complete pricelist will be announced soon on the Conference Registration page.
Accepted abstract will be required to pay for the Conference Fee to present their abstract in-person in Malaysia. The Conference Fee will also include:
- Conference entrance to plenary and all parallel sessions
- Free entry to opening ceremony and exhibition of 25th ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF-25)
- Seminar kit, lunch, and coffee break
- Certificate of Participation
Yes, we also provide another package for AICEE Conference Participant only. The pricelist and registration link will be updated in the Conference Registration page.
Confirmation of registration and invoice will be sent to your email once you have already registered an account. Complete payment can be paid only by credit/debit card (online payment). Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide any accommodation for participants during the conference. Participants are responsible to manage their own travel and accommodation during their stay in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the conference.
Conference Day
There will be an award session for the best oralist for six (6) subtopics of the conference. The winners will receive a Certificate of Appreciation. All presenters will receive a Certificate of Participation.
Participants will receive a copy of the conference agenda and card access to the AEBF opening.
The registration fee of the 5th AICEE will include the ticket to the plenary and all parallel sessions of the AEBF-25. However, ticket to AEBF Gala Dinner & Awards is excluded.
Full Paper Submission & Peer Review Process
After the conference, participants are required to submit their full paper to the Morressier and Peer Review will be conducted. Authors must also submit revision if requested from reviewers. The paper should consist of 8,000-10,000 words. Other format requirements should be following the general journal standards. The layout will be given through email once your abstract is accepted.
After submission to the Morressier, each paper will be assigned to several scientific committees in the field (peers) who review the paper anonymously. They will evaluate the paper’s originality, methodology, clarity, and significance. Based on their feedback, the Scientific Committee will decide on whether to accept, reject, or request revisions to the paper. AICEE also guarantees the quality of our scientific Committee for peer review process.
We have an appeals process that allows authors to challenge editorial decisions. If the author believes there has been a misunderstanding or error in the review process, you may contact [email protected] with the subject of Appeal Peer Review Process.
Paper Publication
After peer review by the Scientific Committee, the organizer submit all selected paper to the IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science (Scopus Indexed with Q4 level). However, the selected abstract also subject to final acceptance by the IOP Editor.
Authors with accepted abstracts may choose to submit their paper for publication to the IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science. Please note that the publication fee must be paid along with the conference registration fee at the time of registration. The complete pricelist will be available on the Conference Registration page.
Authors may wish to re-submit to other conferences or to the 5th AICEE. Please note that Publication Fee is NONREFUNDABLE.
For participants from Cambodia, Myanmar, Lao PDR, and Viet Nam, Scholarship and Registration Fee Waiver is AVAILABLE. Organizer will share further information once the abstract is accepted.
Conference Policy
Our cancellation policy does not provide for refunds or returns of the registration fee in such cases. When registering for the conference, participants agree to the terms and conditions, which include a no-refund policy.
Anti-Harassment and Discrimination Policy is committed to ensure a safe and open environment for participants. As such, no form of harassment and discrimination are allowed during the conference.
If any participants feel harassed or discriminated by other participants or Committee, participants are encouraged to file a report to the following email: [email protected] with the subject of Harassment/Discrimination Report.
The Committee will address and review the report provided by the applicant. Based on the review process, AICEE serves the right to disqualify or terminate the submission.
The whole AICEE committee remains dedicated to high-quality substantive paper and the conference’s integrity. Plagiarism is a significant violation of the conference’s integrity; thus, it will not be permitted. Any participants caught plagiarising before or during the conference will be disqualified from the conference, and any materials caught plagiarising will have the plagiarised clauses/ sections erased. Should any of the participants be found guilty of plagiarism, the Committee maintains the authority to disqualify the participation from the conference.
