The ASEAN Climate Change and Energy Project Phase 2 (ACCEPT II), a collaborative project between the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI), invites researchers to submit proposals for original research. Proposals should be on topics relevant for net-zero emissions in the Southeast Asian energy sector and deal with energy or climate policy, technical analysis, social-economic analysis, theory, simulation and modelling, or advanced deployment. Many different topics are welcome as long as they are relevant for net-zero emissions in the ASEAN countries.
ACCEPT II provides funding of USD 8,000 per selected proposal to conduct research for 2–8 months between August 2023 and March 2024. The deliverables include an article in a recognized international journal with peer review and a policy brief. Their content can overlap. The contents of the journal article cannot have been previously published in any form in whole in part.
