KUALA LUMPUR – Indonesian power giant PT Pertamina is interested in exploring and investing in the untapped geothermal potential of the Philippines, according to a top executive.
On the sidelines of the 2025 Energy Asia Awards held here on Monday, Pertamina vice president director Oki Muraza told The STAR the company sees growth opportunities in the Philippines, particularly in geothermal.

In a significant step toward supporting Vietnam’s energy transition and green finance goals, Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank) has signed a VND 2,000 billion credit agreement with Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation – Joint Stock Company (PV Power). The deal was formalized at a ceremony in Hanoi and marks a milestone in Vietnam’s roadmap to diversify its energy mix and reduce emissions.

B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited has announced a strategic investment aimed at bolstering its renewable energy footprint. Through its wholly owned subsidiary, B.Grimm Power Future Solution Limited (BGPFS), the company has subscribed to newly issued shares of B.Grimm Greenery Company Limited (BGG), resulting in a 74.99% ownership stake in the venture. The move marks a collaborative solar energy initiative with Greenergy Holding (Thailand) Company Limited, which retains the remaining 25.01% stake.
