New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon met with Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, who is also the Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, today. The meeting, held at 2.30 pm and organised by the New Zealand delegation, took place at a hotel here. The hour-long discussion between the two parties focused on strengthening cooperation in the renewable energy sector.

The 600 MW Monsoon wind power project in Laos is set to start trial operations in late December, two months earlier than the initially planned February 2025 launch. The updated timeline was announced during a project review meeting with Vietnam Electricity (EVN) on 28 August.

Malaysian clean energy company Solarvest Holdings Berhad has secured a MYR 113 million ($25.87 million) engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) contract to construct a solar farm from P Solar Sdn Bhd. This partnership, part of the Corporate Green Power Program (CGPP), will facilitate the development of a 45 MWp solar farm in Mukim Pekan, Pahang, Solarvest said in a statement on Tuesday.
