ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) Internship Programme offers a small number of outstanding students the opportunity to acquire work experience with ACE at the ASEAN level.
As an intergovernmental organisation that represents ASEAN Member States (AMS)’s interest in the energy sector, ACE serves as catalyst, knowledge hub, and think tank, supporting ASEAN Member States (AMS) to implement the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC).
To support ACE roles, ICT team, under Corporate Affairs (CA) department working on maintain systems and infrastructure, digitalisation, and support other departments’ work that related to ICT at ACE environment.
In this regard, ACE is providing one (1) new internship opportunity to be involved in the ICT team to supporting ICT activities. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Under the general guidance of the Corporate Affairs Manager and ICT Officers, the intern will support ICT activities. This will include but not limited to:
- Assist the ICT team in maintaining websites (ACE and internal websites), systems, and infrastructure, including cloud platform.
- Assist in maintaining the ACE SharePoint sites including project and department library
- Assist in uploading content on the website and email platform
- Assist in maintaining the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- Support in Microsoft Dynamics 365 development
- Monitor the trends and analytics of website and social media channels.
- Support the troubleshoot on technical issues (websites, system, and infrastructure)
- Support other departments to working on their works related to ICT, or troubleshoot on their laptop or their IT equipment.
- Hosting the online or hybrid events by setting up the camera, audio, and Zoom.
- Work with the team in administrative tasks, including create the ICT-related guidelines.
- Support other activities in ACE as assigned by the supervisor (Corporate Affairs Manager and ICT Officers).
Qualifications:
- ASEAN nationals
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information system, computer engineering, or related degree (at least in the third or fourth year of study) or graduated with a university degree but must commence the internship within a 6-month period after graduation (master’s degree is an advantage).
- Knowledge in ICT infrastructure including server, networking, Google Cloud Platform, virtual machines, and security.
- Adequate skills in web programming languages (HTML, CSS, PHP). Knowledge in WordPress or other Content Management Systems (CMS) is an advantage.
- Adequate skills in database systems (MySQL)
- Knowledge in using Microsoft 365 apps.
- Knowledge in operate webinar platform (Zoom)
- Professional work experience is not required, however, any exposure or involvement in any work or project on IT-related is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a team and to adapt to an international working environment.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent writing and language skills (English).
- Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university records.
