Energy Development Corp. (EDC) and Geothermal Power Co. Philippines. Inc. has been approved for two geothermal projects to provide simplified regulatory procedures and specifications for Mahanagdong (EDC) and Mt. Malinao geothermal projects in the Philippines.
Four energy projects have recently been recognized as projects of national significance, as reported on the Philippines Department of Energy website. Geothermal projects, led by Energy Development Corp. (EDC) and Philippine Geothermal Production Co., are two of these projects. Inc.
In keeping with Executive Order 30 signed by President Rodrigo Duterte in June 2017, the certification of being a power venture of national significance (CEPNS) for the commercial stage. The certificate is intended to streamline regulatory processes and criteria applicable to the country’s energy investment growth.
