Prime Minister Hun Manet reaffirmed that the government will continue subsidizing electricity for households as global energy prices remain high.
“The Cambodian government will not increase the electricity price, despite the government having to pay millions of dollars a month to ease the burden of citizens nationwide, including the workers,” the Prime Minister said at a get-together with garment workers in Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district yesterday.
