Residents from Myawady in Kayin State will have access to national grid at the end of this year, said Khin Maung Win, Deputy Minister for Electricity and Energy.
He replied to a question raised by MP Sein Bo of Myawady Constituency in a parliament session held on December 16 whether the government has plans to provide electricity to Myawady and electric meter boxes in towns and villages or not.
“Ministry of Electricity and Energy will install 11 KV power cables and 11/0.4 KV transformers to provide electricity in Myawady and nearby areas from national grid at the end of this year using state budget in 2019-20 FY,” said the deputy minister.
