NEW DELHI, Dec 13 — India imported 183,914 tonnes of edible palm oil from Malaysia in November, industry data showed on Friday.
The imports from Malaysia comprised crude palm oil (CPO) (140,280 tonnes), RBD palmolein (41,600 tonnes) and crude palm kernel oil (CPKO) (2,034 tonnes), according to the Mumbai-based Solvent Extractors’ Association (SEA) of India.
The world’s biggest importer of edible oil bought a total of 668,363 tonnes of palm oil in November compared with 778,568 tonnes in October.
Its total vegetable oil import stood at 1.12 million tonnes during the month.
