GAS Malaysia Bhd’s move to increase gas volume sales will help offset the lower natural gas selling price for the Jan 1 to Dec 31, 2021 period, thus giving a neutral impact on the gas distribution company, analysts said.
“You can expect next year to be slightly better compared to this year because the company will have signed new contracts with customers coming on board. The offtake has not yet started but will start in 2020,” MIDF Amanah Investment Bank Bhd analyst Noor Athila Mohd Razali told The Malaysian Reserve.
She added that companies like Gas Malaysia and Petronas Gas Bhd would usually base their growth in terms of volume sold.
