Foreign investors have acquired dozens of solar and wind power plants in Vietnam, but officials say this is a normal practice in a market economy. Thai energy firm Gulf Group recently increased its ownership in two solar power plants in the southern province of Tay Ninh from 49 percent to 90 percent.
