February 4 (Renewables Now) – FDC Utilities Inc plans to build a 26-MW run-of-river hydropower plant in the Philippine municipalities of Santa Fe in Nueva Vizcaya and San Nicolas in Pangasinan.

The news was reported on Monday and confirmed today by the company’s parent, Filinvest Development Corporation.

The Pampang project, which was developed by FDC Utilities’ subsidiary FDC Renewables Corp, got a certificate of confirmation of commerciality from the energy department in January.

The firm expects to conclude the permitting process and enter the construction phase by the end of 2020. Commercial operation is scheduled for 2024.
