PHNOM PENH – Cambodia and South Korea have jointly launched a landmark authorized carbon reduction initiative under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement—marking a milestone in international climate cooperation and a major step in Cambodia’s carbon market ambitions. The project is also South Korea’s first overseas initiative using the agreement’s internationally transferred mitigation outcomes (ITMO) mechanism.
