Both countries ‘ authorities allow private power companies to create renewable energy projects, said Corporate Business Development Executive Vice President Charnvit Trangadisaikul.
“After Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines and Laos, the two nations will be major overseas markets for us,” he said.
In solar, wind, geothermal and hydropower ventures, BCPG manages and produces a total capacity of 562 megawatts.
Mr Charnvit said BCPG submitted a proposal for a 100 MW solar power plant in Malaysia. The outcome of the sale will be announced in early 2020.
