 – Malaysia is moving a step closer to adopting nuclear energy as part of its long-term energy transition strategy, with the government having completed a pre-feasibility study on nuclear power.

Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang said the study’s initial findings indicated that nuclear energy has strong potential to serve as a stable, clean and reliable power source for the country.

Fourteen rice mills will install 18.4 megawatt solar power in the current financial year 2025-2026 under the Public-Private Partnership, according to the Myanmar Rice Federation.
Shwe Wah Yaung rice mills inaugurated a ceremony to generate electricity with solar in Shwelinpan Industrial Park in Hlinethaya Township. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, accompanied by officials concerned, the president of MRF, rice millers and solar companies’ representatives, observed solar power utilization conditions, milling process, possible business expansion operations and export market outlook. Shwe Wah Yaung Rice Mill was equipped with 500 kilowatt solar power.

A TOTAL of 17 power-generation projects were approved in June and formally endorsed to the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP), the Department of Energy (DOE) announced on Tuesday.

Of the projects, 14 are new and three are amendments; 15 are renewable energy; and two are energy storage systems.
