Universitas Indonesia (UI), through its Tropical Renewable Energy Center (TREC), a research center under the Faculty of Engineering, has once again demonstrated its commitment to advancing renewable energy in Indonesia. TREC played a key role in drafting the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 9233:2024, titled “Safety Requirements for Power Electronic Converter Systems and Equipment-Specific Requirements for US/US Boost Converters with a Rated Voltage of Not More than 330 V US for Household Electrical Appliances,” which was established by the National Standardization Agency (BSN).

Google, PacificLight Energy (PLE) and Rexus Bioenergy (RExus) have entered into a 10-year collaboration under which PacificLight will offtake renewable energy generated from RExus’s Waste Wood-to-Energy (WWtE) Plant and supply it to Google. The renewable energy generated by the new WWtE plant will be certified under the International Renewable Energy Certificate (I-REC) standard.

The ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE), through the ASEAN Climate Change and Energy Project Phase II (ACCEPT II), organized back-to-back High-Level Policy Dialogues (HLPD) and followed by a Regional Workshop in Vientiane Capital, Laos on 25 to 26 July, aimed at aligning regional policies towards a low-carbon economy and leveraging the ASEAN Power Grid (APG) to decarbonize the ASEAN power sector.
