SINGAPOREOct. 2, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — OMS, one of Singapore’s leading manufacturers in upstream energy production, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with A*STAR’s Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech). Both parties will explore collaboration opportunities in additive manufacturing, such as research and development activities in high value metal components and application development through integrated end-to-end additive manufacturing solutions to scale up additive manufacturing adoption. The parties will also explore qualification through standards and certification in additive manufacturing to allow OMS to achieve consistent and quality production.

Italian oil and gas company Eni has announced a significant gas discovery at its Geng North-1 exploration well in Indonesia. The well sits approximately 85km off the coast of Indonesia’s East Kalimantan province. Preliminary estimates suggest a total discovered volume of five trillion cubic feet (tcf) of gas. Analysis of the gathered data will allow the company to assess the possibility of a “fast-track” development.
