The 4th ASEAN Energy Outlook

31 December 2015

Key Points

The 4th ASEAN Energy Outlook (AEO4) not only aims to provide policymakers with an understanding of the energy trends and challenges being faced by the region up to the year 2035 but also to strongly involve all ASEAN Member States (AMS) in the process. The AEO4 will complement the implementation of the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC) 2016-2025, thereby deriving strategies within ASEAN to address future energy needs.

The publication was supported by the Renewable Energy Support Programme for ASEAN (RESP), a jointly implemented programme by the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and Deutsche Gesellschaft fur International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) from 2013 – 2016.
