Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition 2023 (Brunei MYCE 2023) – Energy Seminar

This session proceedings were based on Energy Seminar as part of Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition (MYCE) 2023 organised by the Department of Energy under the Prime Minister Office of Brunei Darussalam (DOE-PMO) and co-organised by ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) in the International Convention Centre in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. The two-days (10-11 July 2023) event took the theme “A Just Energy Transition Towards Green and Sustainable Development in Southeast Asia.” The seminar brings regional and national experts together to explore innovative strategies in seeking a technological and socially inclusive energy transition.

This proceeding lay out key insights from four different sessions namely: 1) clean energy development for a just energy transition, 2) emerging technologies for clean energy future, 3) energy interconnection in securing energy transition, 4) exploring financing mechanism for energy transition. In addition, the consolidated recommendations from experts were submitted to the DOE-PMO to be presented to the Brunei Darussalam’s Minister.
