Key Points

ASEAN-German Energy Programme (AGEP) supports once again the development of ASEAN Energy Outlook (AEO), led by ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE). The AEO serves as a robust and comprehensive analysis to assist policymakers in setting their energy policy direction, and to provide other stakeholders with information on ASEAN energy trends and challenges. Following the success of the 5th ASEAN Energy Outlook that was launched during the 35th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM) in Manila, the Philippines, 2017, AGEP and ACE now collaborate to develop the 6th ASEAN Energy Outlook (AEO6), which is targeted to be presented and launched at the 38th AMEM in Vietnam, November 2020.

The publication was developed by the ASEAN-German Energy Programme (AGEP), a jointly implemented programme by the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and Deutsche Gesellschaft fur International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
