The ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) hosted an online event titled “Webinar Launching of ASEAN Energy Awards 2023 Report: Best Practices in Energy Efficiency and Conservation” on 26 April 2024. This Webinar marks the launch of ACE’s in-depth analysis of the ASEAN Energy Award 2023 winners. The analysis aims to showcase best practices in Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EE&C). The Webinar will serve as a platform for disseminating these best practices and encouraging their adoption by both public and private sectors. This collaborative effort will contribute significantly towards achieving our established energy efficiency goals.

The Webinar, attended by more than 90 participants from governmental institutions, the academic community, private companies, and NGOs, launched a report that showcases best practices in energy-efficient building design through case studies, practical measures, and cutting-edge technologies. It guides ASEAN building owners and developers towards a more sustainable future. Analysing ASEAN Energy Award data (Energy Efficiency Index, lighting/cooling loads, chiller efficiency), the report reveals trends and highlights the region’s progress in building energy efficiency and sustainability.
