Strengthening Cooperation for Pipelines Interconnectivity and Regasification Terminals

Trans ASEAN Gas Pipeline Task Force (TAGP TF) Meeting was conducted on 23rd May 2016.  Mr. Faizal Mydin Pitchay, from Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) SDN BHD acted as the chairman of the meeting, and expressed his appreciation to the TF Members for the new TAGP initiatives. The meeting shared the achievements of the Task Force Members as well as prepared the new initiatives for TAGP work programme 2016-2017. Also in the agenda of the meeting was a report from the delegates, to present the updates of the current situation from each Member States.

On the second day, a joint meeting was conducted between the ASEAN Gas Committee Council (AGCC) and the TAGP TF. Joining the meeting on the second day were national oil companies from the ASEAN Member States (AMS) such as: PetroleumBRUNEI, Ministry of Mines and Energy (Cambodia), Pertamina & Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities/SKK Migas (Indonesia), Myanma Oil & Gas Enterprise (Myanmar), Petronas (Malaysia), The Philippine National Oil Company (the Philippines), PTT (Thailand), Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd & Energy Market Authority (Singapore), and PetroVietnam. The meeting discussed the results of the AGCC and TAGP Task Force Meeting. Members deliberated on the 2016 initiatives and agreed to create a platform for regasification terminals operators, for experience sharing, and gas quality adjustment study.  The platform is also meant to create awareness on open access system* for liquefied natural gas/gas infrastructure among Member States.
