Report Launch Webinar: Net-Zero Roadmaps for the Steel Industry in Indonesia and Vietnam

This webinar will present key findings from two upcoming reports on net-zero pathways for Indonesia’s and Vietnam’s steel industries, to be launched on 30 July 2025. Developed through in-depth analysis of current production, energy use, and emissions, the reports outline practical, data-driven action plans to guide each country’s steel sector toward deep decarbonisation by 2060.

Participants will gain insights into the proposed decarbonisation pillars—including material efficiency, energy efficiency & electrification, fuel switching, low-carbon technologies, and carbon capture—as well as key milestones through 2030, 2040, 2050, and 2060. The session will also explore economic feasibility of key technologies, policy needs, and investment opportunities to align steel production with national net-zero goals. Recommended actions for governments, steel producers, consumers, and stakeholders involved will also be discussed.
