The Global Power System Transformation (G-PST) Consortium is honored to host its formal launch event on April 21st at 8 a.m. US EDT.
U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm and U.K. Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Secretary of State Kwasi Kwarteng, together with several executives of power system operators and institutions from around the world, will officially launch the G-PST Consortium, a bold and innovative public-private partnership accelerating transitions to net-zero emission, reliable power systems, and driving economic growth.
Objectives:
- The G-PST Consortium launch event signals a major commitment from power system operators and other key institutions to implementing the technologies and approaches that will permanently change their emissions trajectories while simultaneously improving grid reliability, resiliency, and security.
- The G-PST Consortium’s targeted approach couples cutting-edge research with broad knowledge diffusion to deliver best-in-class operational and engineering solutions into the hands of system operators around the world, preparing them for large increases in renewable energy integration.
- Preparing the grid for massive scale up of renewables from a technical level will enable significant renewable energy investments and economic growth.
