Information

This workshop is aimed to provide an understanding on the role of Pumped Hyrdo Energy Storage (PHES) in managing energy transition, ASEAN’s PHES potential, case study of successful pumped hydro applications across the world, notably in Australia. A key goal is to spread knowledge among key stakeholders on how PHES can support an orderly energy transition in ASEAN. The workshop will provide a valuable reference for ASEAN policymakers to consider different options in scaling up RE integration into the grid while also charting a more ambitious view on defining a new RE target post-2025.
