On 8 August 2024, the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) actively participated in the 57th ASEAN Day Open House by hosting a booth, alongside embassies, other ASEAN entities, and centres. Held at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia, this annual event marks the founding of ASEAN, gathering key representatives from ASEAN Member States (AMS) and partners to celebrate the regional unity.

In the exhibition, ACE’s booth showcased informative materials on the Centre’s latest initiatives, including the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC), the upcoming 24th ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF-24), the ASEAN Power Grid initiative, and the recent publications. Visitors had the opportunity to engage with ACE representatives and learn about ongoing projects aimed at advancing energy security, affordability, accessibility, and sustainability across the region.

Dr. Nuki Agya Utama, Executive Director of ACE, attended the morning ceremony, engaging with regional leaders to commemorate the occasion.

The event served as both a celebration and a valuable platform for networking and knowledge exchange on the ASEAN energy landscape. ACE’s booth drew a diverse group of visitors, including government officials, industry leaders, and many others. Through this event, ACE reinforced its role as a key player in the region’s energy landscape, advocating for sustainable development and collaborative efforts among AMS.
