ACE-IAEA Cooperation in Civilian Nuclear Energy

Description

This Virtual Event is organized as the first step of cooperation between ACE and IAEA, and thus, it is intended to inform stakeholders of the ASEAN member states about launch of ACE and IAEA cooperation together with the planned ASEAN wide nuclear cooperation activities and up-to-date global nuclear situation as well as emerging nuclear power technologies. Also, as a capacity building related activity, introductory presentations will be given on fundamental issues to manage nuclear programmes for invited participants from ASEAN and its member states’ relevant institutions.

Therefore, ACE and IAEA hold an event namely “ACE-IAEA Cooperation in Civilian Nuclear Energy”, and the topics are:

• ASEAN regional efforts to climate change mitigation and nuclear related activities under the APAEC Phase II;
• Global perspectives of nuclear power and emerging nuclear power technologies;
• IAEA supports to embarking countries and cooperation programmes between ACE and IAEA.
