Discovering potential climate-related project collaboration in the energy modeling sides with Climateworks Centre, Australia
As a continuation of the initial meeting held in March 2023, ACE and Climateworks will strengthen the cooperation by drafting the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two parties. The second meeting was held on 10 May 2023 in ASEAN Centre for Energy Office in Jakarta. It was attended by ACCEPT II and Power, Fossil Fuel, Alternative Energy, and Storage (PFS) Department, and Climateworks Centre.
ACCEPT II to Present a Proposed Study on Lao Net Zero during RE-SSN (Renewable Energy Sub Sector Network) in Lao PDR.
ASEAN Climate Change and Energy Project Phase II (ACCEPT II) teams have presented ACCEPT’s proposed study on Lao Net Zero Ministry of Energy and Mines of Lao PDR and during RE SSN on 5 May 2023 in Vientiane, Lao PDR.
ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) meets with Yale University’s Fellow to explore Research Collaboration
Dr. Asmus Rungby, a post-doctoral fellow from Council on Southeast Asia Studies at Yale University visited the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) office on 2nd May 2023 to meet with ACE’s researchers on exploring potential research collaboration. The in-person meeting discussed the potential of research collaboration between the institutions on Southeast Asia’s transition to green energy in the region by involving social economic parameter.
ACCEPT II Collaboration with Student Energy of the National University of Singapore (NUS) in Joint Seminar on Empowering Hydrogen Development to Achieve ASEAN's Net Zero Target
A webinar on empowering hydrogen development to achieve ASEAN’s net zero target has been successfully organised by ASEAN Climate Change and Energy Project (ACCEPT II) of ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and National University of Singapore (NUS) through Zoom platform on Saturday, 15 April 2023 at 7.30PM – 8.30PM Singapore time. The event was attended by more than 40 participants to update on the hydrogen situation and development in the ASEAN region.
Initial meeting between ACCEPT II team and NIRAS and GOPA to explore collaboration activities for EU-ASEAN Green Initiative – Clean Energy Stakeholder Consultations
Bernard Mayhofer, Karl Goeppert, Arum Sari, and Levina Masli from NIRAS and GOPA which are the consortium to implement the EU-ASEAN Green Initiative visited the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) office on 3 April 2023 to explore the possibility of collaboration with ASEAN Climate Change and Energy Project Phase II (ACCEPT II) team on having a joint activities (studies, capacity buildings, etc) for the EU-ASEAN Green Initiative. The ACCEPT team was represented by Aldilla Rakhiemah (Senior Researcher), Muhammad Shidiq (Senior Researcher), and I Dewa Made Raditya (Researcher).
