Bursa Carbon Exchange Completes First REC Auction

Bursa Carbon Exchange has successfully carried out its inaugural auction of renewable energy certificates (RECs) which saw 15 buyers from various industries purchasing a total of 268,800 Hydropower Renewable Energy Certificates from vintage year 2024 (HRECv24) Contracts.

Gas production hikes and regional buying to cut LNG imports

Thailand plans to increase domestic gas production and renew gas purchases from neighbouring countries to reduce its dependence on liquefied natural gas (LNG) as gas demand is expected to increase in Asia, say energy authorities and analysts.
