Delays in nuclear bill to impact Philippines’ energy goals

MANILA, Philippines — Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) is urging the government to give focus on the proposed bill seeking to establish a nuclear regulatory body. The utility giant said further delays can stall the realization of energy targets.

A financial close agreement has been signed between PT Supreme Energy Muara Laboh (SEML) and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) for Unit 2 of the Muara Laboh geothermal power plant in West Sumatra, Indonesia.
