Vestas secures 64MW double in Vietnam
Vestas has secured turbine orders totalling 64MW for two wind farms in Quang Tri province, Vietnam. The deals are for the supply, transport, installation and commissioning of 16 V150-4.2MW machines delivered in 4.0MW operating mode. The two projects are owned by local companies, Huong Tan Wind Power and Tan Linh Wind Power.
Thai firms expanding presence in Vietnam despite COVID-19
Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam has remained an attractive destination for Thai enterprises to expand their business despite the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the region. Thailand’s Delta Electronics PCL, a global producer of power and thermal management products and solutions, earlier this month announced it will establish a new subsidiary in Vietnam in the second or third quarter of this year.
Vestas delivering Vietnam’s tallest turbines in Mekong Delta wind project
Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas is elevating its status in Vietnam’s energy market. The company has secured an order for 67 MW of wind capacity in two projects. Vestas says the turbines ordered will be the tallest in the country with hub heights of about 162 meters (close to 530 feet).

GE has signed a contract with Phuong Mai Wind Power JSC, a Special Purpose Vehicle entity jointly invested by Truong Thanh Development and Construction Investment Joint Stock Company (DECONNIN JSC) and Hanoi Construction – Industrial Investment JSC (HANOINCO., JSC) to provide 11 2.4MW-116 turbines and technical advisory service for Phuong Mai 1 wind farm, Vietnam.
