PTT to maintain gas output

Energy policymakers have ordered national oil and gas conglomerate PTT Plc to continue gas production in Myanmar during the Songkran holiday to avoid an electricity interruption from surging demand from home workers. Imported gas from Myanmar’s Yadana, Yetagun and Zawtika blocks account for 25% of the total gas volume in PTT’s gas pipeline.

Energy Ministry to cut price of CNG by 3 baht

The Energy Ministry announced on Wednesday that it will reduce the retail price of compressed natural gas (CNG) for public transport by three baht per kilogramme for three months, effective April 1. The measure, passed by the Energy Policy Administration Committee, applies to all public transport, including buses, minibuses, taxis, tuk-tuks, songthaews and interprovincial buses.
