Neta starts building EV factory in Thailand

Hozon Auto’s Chinese electric car subsidiary Neta started constructing its first production facility outside China. The facility in Bangkok is scheduled to go into operation at the end of January 2024. The new plant will become Neta’s key location for manufacturing and exporting right-hand drive electric cars to ASEAN countries.

RAYONG, Thailand, March 10 (Xinhua) — China’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer BYD held a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday for its first car plant in Thailand, marking the latest move by Chinese automakers to expand their footprint in Southeast Asia.

MOL signs MoU for hydrogen and ammonia supply chain in Thailand

Japanese shipping giant, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to build a clean hydrogen and ammonia value chain derived from renewable energy sources in southern Thailand. The MoU was signed with Mitsubishi Thailand, Chiyoda, and Electricity Generation Authority of Thailand (EGAT), Thailand’s state-owned power generation company.

USTDA funds Thailand’s supply chain resilience

The US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has granted funds to the Thai Ministry of Transport’s Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) to improve Thailand’s supply chain and reduce carbon emissions in its freight transportation system.
