In a bid to ease environmental concerns about unmanaged solid waste while securing more energy sources, a measure that promotes waste-to-energy (WTE) technology has advanced in the Senate after being endorsed for plenary approval.

DOE eyeing 2,400 MW goal for nuclear power

The Department of Energy (DOE) is looking to target 2,400 megawatts (MW) of nuclear capacity in order to support the country’s growth by 2035. The said proposal is part of the Philippine Energy Plan (PEP) 2023 to 2050, expected to be completed this year.
