PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy IPO to be launched in 2022

The Indonesian Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir has announced that PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) will launch an initial public offering (IPO) in the second quarter of 2022. The capital raised from the sales will help fund PGE’s target to double their current installed capacity within the next five years.

Scottish energy firm to make tides in Indonesia!

Scottish tidal energy firm Nova Innovation has announced it has secured £200,000 of grant funding from Innovate UK to deliver a tidal turbine array in Indonesia. The 7MW project will be installed in Larantuka Strait, which is between the islands of Flores and Adonara and has reportedly one of the strongest tidal currents in Indonesia.

Indonesia’s carbon trade trial indicates taxable emissions

JAKARTA, Nov 29 (Reuters) – Indonesia’s energy ministry recorded around a million tonnes of taxable carbon emissions during a recent trial covering 32 coal power plants, a senior official said on Monday, as the country prepares to launch a carbon trading mechanism.
