Indonesia targets 35% renewable energy led by solar, hydro, geothermal

Indonesia has unveiled its updated National Power Supply Plan (RUPTL), projecting an additional 71 GW of installed capacity over the next decade, with a focus on solar, hydropower, and geothermal energy to drive renewable power generation. The plan targets increasing the share of renewable energy to 35% of the country’s total energy mix by 2034.

PLN’s EV Charging Stations Increased by 299 Percent in 2024

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – PT PLN (Persero) recorded a surge in the development of electric vehicle infrastructure throughout 2024. In its efforts to accelerate the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia, the number of Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) increased by 299 percent, from 1,081 units in 2023 to 3,233 units by the end of 2024.
