Biggest solar farm set to more than double in capacity

Plans are underway to expand the capacity of the Kingdom’s largest solar power station, by nearly 167 per cent from 90MW to 240MW, to help meet demand and reduce energy costs, according to the head of state-run electric utility Electricite du Cambodge (EdC).

TotalEnergies offers solar solution to local garment manufacturers

TotalEnergies and Vanco Industries have teamed up to install 750kWp of rooftop solar in Cambodia’s Kandal province. Vanco is part of the Dakota Group of Companies. It supplies garments to Swedish fashion chain H&M, which has pledged to cut emissions 56 percent by 2030 and become climate positive ten years later.

Biomass power plant set for July

Construction on a major rice husk biomass power plant has begun in southeastern Phnom Penh’s Chbar Ampov district and is expected to be completed by July, in seven months.
