Marubeni in ‘first of a kind’ Vietnam battery storage project with VinGroup

A green energy subsidiary of Japanese conglomerate Marubeni has brought online a megawatt-scale battery storage demonstration project in Vietnam. Marubeni Green Power Vietnam, a wholly owned subsidiary of Marubeni—one of Japan’s largest general trading ‘sōgō shōsha’ companies—partnered with Vietnamese counterpart VinGroup for the 1.8MW/3.7MWh lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery energy storage system (BESS) project.

Thailand to extend production timeframe for battery EVs

THAILAND will extend a production timeframe for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and offer incentives for hybrid EVs to support the industry in South-east Asia’s automobile hub, its Board of Investment said on Wednesday (Dec 4).

Cooperation in developing battery storage and energy management solutions

Under the agreement, the parties will focus on implementing strategic areas of cooperation in green energy, including energy management and sustainable energy storage solutions. Through this agreement, the companies expect to contribute to promoting the reduction of net emissions to zero, towards a sustainable future.
