Power transmission provider Pestech (Cambodia) Plc put on a roadshow on Monday in preparation for going public on the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) on August 12. Pestech Cambodia, a 100 per cent owned subsidiary of Malaysia-based Pestech International Bhd, hopes to raise approximately $3 million from the listing.
Malaysia’s PETRONAS Decides to Invest in a Rooftop Solar Startup

PETRONAS, Malaysia’s state-owned gas and oil company, signed an agreement to invest in SOLS Energy Sdn Bhd, a solar energy startup. The investment will help provide renewable energy to residential and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia. SOLS Energy is a Kuala Lumpur-based rooftop solar company, which mainly focuses on the residential and SME markets.
BIC Insures Vietnamese Intertidal Project
Vietnam’s BIDV Insurance Corporation (BIC) and Ben Tre Renewable Energy Joint Stock company (BTRE) have signed an insurance contract for the 110 MW Ben Tre V1-3 intertidal wind project. BIC, part of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), will provide insurance during the installation of the BTRE V1-3 Ben Tre wind farm.

World Bank and Myanmar Sign Pact to Provide Off-Grid Solar Products in Rural Areas

The World Bank has signed an agreement with the Government of Myanmar to provide off-grid solar products to 450,000 people in rural Myanmar. The result-based financing for off-grid solar products is worth $3.45 million. It is co-funded by the Global Partnership for Results-Based Approaches (GPRBA) and the Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP).
PLN to receive Rp 9.6t from state coffers to build power infrastructure
