West Java to Utilize Electric Cars as Official Government Vehicles

A number of institutions of the West Java Provincial government will start to utilize electric vehicles as official state transportation starting in 2023. It aligns with Presidential Instruction No.7/2022 overseeing the use of EVs as government official transport.

Sandiaga Uno Aims to Electrify Transportation in Tourist Sites

The Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno in his weekly brief on Monday announced that he intends to replace the current conventional modes of transportation in tourism sites with electric vehicles. He said that this aligns with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s instructions regarding green tourism.  

Govt Mulls over Subsidy for Electric Vehicle Conversion

Indonesia’s Transportation Ministry is considering providing subsidies for the cost of converting fuel-based vehicles to electric vehicles in order to accelerate the mass use of battery-based vehicles in the country.
