[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”text-par-news”]Jakarta – From June until October 2019, Dr. Hoyyen Chan, Senior Research Analyst of the ASEAN Climate Change and Energy Project (ACCEPT) was able to conduct an interview session to the ASEAN Plan of Action on Energy Cooperation (APAEC) Programme Areas Chairperson as well as the Senior Official on Energy (SOE) leader of each ASEAN Member States (AMS).
The interview aimed to discuss the ASEAN energy leader’s perspective on ASEAN energy blueprint and cooperation under the APAEC 2016-2025 and how climate change took into consideration of the process development and implementation in both issues.
The interview conducted with the two types, face to face discussion, for the SOEs and Sub-Sector Network/Specialised Energy Body (SSN/SEB) chairs who have available in the schedule, and also the written interview for the SOEs and SSN/SEB chairs who are not available in the schedule.
During each session, Dr. Chan discussed several points regarding the leader’s perspectives on global development trends and directives, the national policy-making process, and institutional aspects, as well as the APAEC 2016-2025 itself.
The results of the interview will be carried out as the baseline of the ACCEPT research team in providing inputs to the development of the two pivotal documents, APAEC Phase II: 2021-2025 and The 6th ASEAN Energy Outlook, which will be released in 38th ASEAN Minister on Energy Meeting (AMEM) 2020 in Vietnam.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”photo-caption-news”](MRK)[/vc_column_text][vc_tweetmeme share_via=”asean_energycc” large_button=”true”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
