The vision of the ASEAN Offshore Wind Development Roadmap study was unveiled as a collaborative effort to systematically explore and unlock the full potential of offshore wind in the region. This initiative aims to create a strategic roadmap that aligns with global best practices and identify the most potential sites for follow-up collaboration between ASEAN and China. It draws inspiration from the experiences of leading countries, such as China, that have successfully established their domestic wind market into a global leader. As the extension of this study, the workshop aims to delve into several aspects of China’s experience, focusing on two crucial topics – market entry standards for wind equipment manufacturing and certification of wind project commissioning.
