Phnom Penh, Cambodia, 14 September 2022 – In conjunction with the 40th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM) and ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF) 2022, ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) present the 2nd ASEAN International Conference on Energy and Environment (AICEE), in collaboration with the 8th International Conference on Sustainable Future for Human Security (SustaiN).

The hybrid conference is held on 14-15 September 2022 and aims to provide networking opportunities for academics, practitioners and stakeholders. Bringing the theme of “Accelerating the clean energy transition to increase energy security and sustainability in ASEAN”, the event could bridge the efforts to pave the way forward between energy and environmental experts in implementing the short- and long-term targets of energy planning.

Dr Nuki Agya Utama, the Executive Director of ACE mentioned in his opening remark that this international conference serves as a platform for strategic discussions mixed with presentations of practical business opportunities by involving collaborative work among government, industry and academe.

The 2nd AICEE covers six (6) thematic topics, including energy, environment, energy economy, social and governance, sustainable forest and agriculture and sustainable built. The committee have received more than 140 extended abstracts of which 80 papers are presented during the two days conference from various institutions. The full papers are submitted by the end of September 2022 and will be published in the IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science in early 2023.
