A Study of Energy Savings with Focus on Demand Side Management in ASEAN

This study is part of the ‘Energy Savings with Focus on Demand Side Management’ project which is supported by the ASEAN Plus Three Cooperation Fund and intended to provide knowledge sharing and experiences from ASEAN+3 in the pursuit of energy savings. Options for achieving EI targets depend not only on shifting gradually the conventional energy sources and heavy industries but also on improving Demand Side Management (DSM), mainly improving Energy Efficiency (EE). Promoting a greater enabling environment for DSM which constitutes market, regulatory, information, fiscal, and technology and services that focus on various instruments and programmes would provide a strong response to DSM.
