The Energy Practitioners Association of the Philippines Inc. (ENPAP) conducted the 14th ASEAN Energy Management Scheme (AEMAS) Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Training Course and Certification on 16 – 18 January 2019 in Quezon City, the Philippines.
The 14th AEMAS CEM Training and Certification were participated by nineteen (19) professional engineers and entrepreneurs in the semiconductor and electronics, engineering and consultancy services. Participants also came from major state and private water companies. Other companies that were present are Bangko Central (Central Bank), MERALCO (major electricity distributor), Saudi ARAMCO (power generator), and John Crane (mechanical equipment manufacturer and distributor). The training provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of sustainable energy management programme and learned to increase energy efficiency and significantly reduce energy cost. The certified trainee will utilise the lesson learned in the training to implement sustainable energy management systems within their industries/companies.
In 2018, the Philippines restarted the AEMAS Training Course and Certification Programme. ENPAP is the only authorised partner of the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) in the Philippines for AEMAS activities. Apart from the above-mentioned training, ENPAP is also conducting AEMAS Certified Trainers Training, AEMAS Certified Auditors Training, AEMAS Certified Assessors Training, and Certification of Companies under the AEMAS Energy Management Gold Standard Scheme (EMGS), which are the enhanced version of ISO – 50001 on Energy Management.
