Several studies have identified what individual countries and different sectors may contribute to regional renewable energy (RE) share, including the environmental benefits, required quantifiable costs, and investments. In ASEAN, one question remains, how can ASEAN Member States (AMS) ensure that the implementation of their respective RE policies works seamlessly with regional efforts to achieve the regional RE target? This requires a thorough analysis and recommendations to better facilitate the cooperation of policymakers, dialogue partners (DPs), international organisations (IOs) and other RE players at the regional level.
