The ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) announced the new report “ASEAN Oil and Gas Updates 2021 – ASEAN Power Updates 2021“. These reports are part of the ASEAN Energy Database System (AEDS), and they will be released to the public regularly in September and March. AEDS contains official ASEAN statistic data, related energy news, and policies to help understand the energy landscape of ASEAN and each of its Member States.
The “ASEAN Oil and Gas Updates 2021” provides an updated and comprehensive overview of the current ASEAN oil and natural gas situation. While the “ASEAN Power Updates 2021” provides an updated and comprehensive overview of ASEAN’s electricity and renewable energy situation.
“The ASEAN Oil and Gas Updates 2021 attests that 2020 is a challenging year in the oil and gas industry that the pandemic had impacted upstream and downstream of the oil and gas industry. Meanwhile, the ASEAN Power Updates 2021 will provide power status development in ASEAN towards the APAEC target of 35% RE share in installed capacity by 2025 and an overview of COVID-19 impact to the ASEAN power sector“, said Dr Nuki Agya Utama, the Executive Director of ACE.
